    Prof. dr hab. Krystyna Wilkoszewska – manager of the Institute for Aesthetics, Philosophical Faculty on the Jagiellonian University; outstanding Polish aesthetician; Author of a.o. „Wariacji na postmodernizm ” (Variations about Postmodernism), „Estetyka czterech żywiołów. Ziemia, Woda, Ogień, Powietrze”(Aesthetics of the four elements. Earths, Water, Fire, Air), „Estetyka japońska. Antologia” (The Japanese aesthetics. Antology) (v.I-III), „Estetyka transkulturowa”.

    Prof. dr hab. Jacek Filek – philosopher, ethicist. He published a.o. „Ontologizacja odpowiedzialności” (The ontologization of the responsibility)1996, „Filozofia jako etyka” (Philosophy as the ethics) (nomination for the Jan Dlugosz’s Prize), „Filozofia odpowiedzialności XX wieku” (Philosophy of the Responsibility of the XXth century) (Prize of the Minister of Education).

    Pawel Kuczynski – graduate of the film direction faculty on the Film Institute in Lodz and of the American Film Institute. Film director of a.o. philosophical films. The film „Raj Filozofa” (Philosopher’s Paradise) – has been selected by the International Documentary Association 2004 InFACT to the cinematic distribution in the United States.

    Michal Oleszczyk – film critic, graduate of the film science faculty on the Jagiellonian University. Winner of Krzysztof Mętrak-Prize (2005). Publishes in Kino, Tygodnik Powszechny as well as in collective works. Author of the first Polish monograph of Terence Davies’ works Gorycz wygnania. Kino Terence’a Daviesa (Bitterness of the Exile. Cinema of Terence Davies), Krakow 2008.

    The coincidence, which decides about..., commented by Andrzej Szczypiorski, Stanislaw Lem, Jozef Tischner and others in „Moment ” (Poland 1995, 30’), directed by Maciej Wojtyszko, followed by the meeting with the film director, moderated by Lukasz Maciejewski.

    Maciej Wojtyszko – film director, playwright, author of screenplays and plays for children; graduate of the Secondary School for Theatre Art in Warszawa; studied philosophy on the Varsovie University; his debut as a prose-writer was in 1966. Author of a few books for children and youth (a.o. „Bromba i inni”, „Antycyponek”, „Trzynaste pióro Eufemii”, „Tajemnica szyfru Marabuta”, „Synteza”). Some of them became prototypes for TV cartoon series. Lecturer on PWST (Public Higher Theatre School; in 1990-93 and 1999-2002 dean of the Film Direction Faculty on PWST. At present he is working as author and producer on a theatre play „O rozkoszy” (About pleasue), with its premiere on 30th of January 2010 in Slowacki Theatre.

    Lukasz Maciejewski – journalist, film and theatre critic, university teacher; cooperates with several magazines (a.o. „Tygodnik Powszechny”, „Film”, „Kwartalnik Filmowy”, „Dziennik”, „Teatr”, „Magazyn Filmowy SFP”, „Dekada Literacka”, „Notatnik Teatralny”, „Krakow” and „Machina”), also publishes in „Dialog” (Germany) and „Nowaja Polsza” as well as on the internet portals „Dwutygodnik” and „Filmweb”. Co-author of several books – in 2009 he published a bestseller „Przygoda myśli”, selection of the author’s talks with leading authors of Polish cinema and theatre as well as „Tako rzecze…Lem” (Russia), „Zanussi. Przemiany”, „Krystian Lupa. Rozmowy/Conversations”.

    Lecture cycle: CinemaGallery / Found Footage. The patron of the cycle: Kuba Mikurda. Meeting with Matthias Müller, director of experimental films, lecturer and patron, one of the most important artists using the found footage strategy.

    Adrian Poweska – philosopher, Ph.D. student in the Faculty of International and Political Studies on Jagiellonian University.     Speakers: Andrzej Lesniak – philosopher, historian and theorist of the Art. Author of the book „Topografie doświadczenia. Jacques Derrida i Maurice Blanchot" (Krakow 2003) and several articles published in a.o. Principia, Teksty Drugie and Kwartalnik Filozoficzny. He is working in the Insitut of Contemporary Culture on the jagiellonian University.

    Jakub Majmurek – film connoisseur, film critic; Ph.D. student in the Higher School for Social Sciences at IFiS PAN (Polish Science Academy), where he is preparing a work about the matter of timeliness in the contemporary French philosophy; he also deals with film theorie and film philosophy.

    Premiere of the film “New York Trilogy” (USA 2009, 10’), directed by Tal S. Shamir.
    The film presents three short philosophical reflexions on New York City: the first part deals with the Culture Industry by Adorno and Horkheimer; the second part deals with the Simulacra by J. Baudrillard; and the third part deals with the alienation of New York City.
    The film was accepted as an official selection to the 2009 NewFilmmakers NY film festival, 2009 Chez Bushwick Prime Mover and 2009 Chashama International Film Festival.

    Followed by the discussion with invited guests: dr hab. Malgorzata Radkiewicz, dr Urszula Tes, prof. Jozef Bremer, Andrzej Dabrowski.
    Promotion of the book Ludwig Wittgenstein – assignated to Krakow.

    Dr hab. Malgorzata Radkiewicz – film connoisseur, lecturer in the Institut of Audiovisual Arts on Jagiellonian University. Author of the books about work of women – filmmakers, about Derek Jarman Portrait of the individualist as well as about the gender in the Polish cinematography of the 90’s. She deals with problems of cultural identity and gender identity in the contemporary cinema and in the audiovisual arts. The founder and the coordinator of the Postgraduate School on the field of Gender on the Jagiellonian University.

    Dr Urszula Tes – moderator of discussion, film connoisseur, lecturer on the High School for Philosophy and Pedagogy “Ignatianum”, author of the book Cinema of John Cassavetes; She deals with the relation between film and philosophy.

    Prof. Ignatianum dr hab. Jozef Bremer SJ – Dean of the Philosophical Faculty on the High School for Philosophy and Pedagogy “Ignatianum”. Author of a.o. Wprowadzenie do Logiki (Krakow: WAM 2006), Osoba – fikcja czy rzeczywistość? Tożsamość i jedność Ja w świetle badań neurologicznych (Krakow: Aureus, 2008) as well as many scientific texts about philosophers (mainly foreign language philosophers), also about Ludwig Wittgenstein.

    Andrzej Dabrowski – philosopher. Ph.D. student in the Institut of Philosophy on the Jagiellonian University.
